It is the intent of the Airpark to negotiate a long term land lease on the Pickering Airport lands, 40 minutes from downtown Toronto in Pickering. The Airpark will be developed either as a stand-alone aerodrome or in conjunction with a larger regional airport.
We propose leasing 400 acres on land owned by the Canadian government in Pickering of which 165 acres will initially be developed. The rest of the 5000 acres set aside for development can remain as farmland.
Proposed Air Park Layout:
Assuming a minimum 6000 ft by 1200 ft land parcel, our initial layout will be for a 5000 ft runway and provides for 80 T-hangars, forty-six 75 ft by 120 ft building lots, and eleven 150 by 120 ft building lots. The Airpark will be built-out in three phases. Each lot has both aviation and service access. Initially this is expected to be a gravel road and a paved taxiway.
For the initial build-out, water and sewage will be provided by a drilled well and a septic system, available in the common flight centre.
A high level conceptual overview of the completed airpark is available on request. This is subject to change and will vary based on the final location.
