Who...

Who is welcome?

All GA pilots and business owners are welcome to buy into the Airpark. You can purchase a standard pre-fab T-hangar, or invest in a lot to build a custom hangar or other buildings to your own requirements (designs subject to approval by the GP, on behalf of the Airpark). Do it yourself, select from one of several Airpark-approved builders, or simply have your own place to tie a couple of planes down. Flexibility is our watchword.

Please note that the limited partnership will own the master Lease on the Pickering site and will lease out the lots on the same length and terms as the master lease. Initially you must be a Limited Partner to get a lease, but Limited Partners will be able to sublease as desired.

Limited Partners will include:

  • Private aircraft owners: If you the owner of a GA aircraft and want a secure location to base your aircraft, this is it!

  • Flight schools: Looking for a place that is student friendly to base your flight school? Look no further - but be sharp about it, all flight schools are welcome!

  • Aircraft or avionics maintenance business: All are welcome. This is where your customers will soon be based, so get in early to secure an attractive location.

  • Fixed Base Operators, or Charter Companies: Looking for a business-friendly location to base your operation? Here it is! The only caveat is that if you wish to run your own fuel operation, the Airpark will levee a small surcharge on any fuel sales. (Please note: The Airpark also intends to provide self-serve fuel to meet its tenant obligations).

  • Aviation entrepreneurs: So you want to lease several adjoining lots and rent out hangars or tie downs? No problem… make your mark as the Hangar King of Pickering if you wish. The Airpark is a business-friendly environment, and everyone is welcome within our community.

Please note: All pilots that fly aircraft based at the Airpark as pilot in command will need to be Members of the associated flying club.

Who will own the Airpark?

Through a Limited Partnership structure with a long term Lease, the Airpark will be owned by its users. These Limited Partners (either individuals or companies) are expected to share both the rewards and risks of ownership.
